Snoop Dogg Criticizes Cardi B’s song “WAP, Offset responds

Westcoast OG Snoop Dogg appeared on Central Ave earlier this week where he made remarks on Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s smash hit “WAP” . Remarking on the song and it’s raunchy lyrics Snoop stated

Oh my God. Slow down. Like, slow down. And let’s have some imagination. Let’s have some, you know, privacy, some intimacy where he wants to find out as opposed to you telling him. To me, it’s like, it’s too fashionable when that is secrecy, that should be a woman’s…that’s like your pride and possession. That’s your jewel of the Nile. That’s what you should hold onto. That should be a possession that no one gets to know about until they know about it.

Snoop also added if it was during his prime he would have hopped on the remix

When I was young, 21 or 22, I may have been with the movement, I probably would have been on the remix. But as an older man, it’s like, I love it that they’re expressing themselves and doing their thing, I just don’t want it that fashionable to where young girls feel like they can express themselves like that without even knowing that that is a jewel that they hold onto until the right person comes around.

Snoop isn’t the only major figure who has spoken against the viral hit ,earlier this year Cee LoGreen bashed the song and it’s message. Meanwhile Cardi B’s husband Offset has responded to Snoop Dogg’s statement during a chat with TMZ

I love Snoop man. I hate when men do that. I don’t do that.As rappers, we talk about the same shit. It’s a lot of women empowerment, don’t shoot it down. We’ve never had this many artists that’s female artists running this shit. They catching up to us, passing us, setting records. I don’t want to seem like I’m dissing at Snoop. At the same time I say all men should stay outta women business

Cardi B who’s known to fire back at statements like Snoop Dogg made,is yet to respond .
