Lofi hip-hop is new emerging  genre that’s expanding and going to conquer more space.  Low-Fidelity is a music or production quality in which elements usually considered  as imperfections of a recording or performance are audible, sometimes as a intended aesthetic choice. The standards of sound quality (fidelity) and music production have progressed throughout the decades, meaning that some older examples of lo-fi may not have been originally recognized as such.

The instrumental mix of traditional hip-hop and jazz has remarkably  made its mark on Spotify and Youtube. This type of music is represented by  ChilledCow, ChilledBeats, Chillhop Music and Collage music. As lofi hip-hop’s relaxing sounds continue to grow in popularity, they are contradicting the rules of hip-hop and directing the music industry into unknown territory where new forms of music are likely to be established in 2021.  The low barrier of entry and high accessibility and replay value of lofi hip-hop makes it a welcoming space for developing artists
