Eminem says he had to relearn rapping after drug addiction

Eminem made an appearance on NYE special Shade 45 to talk about his new release “Music To Be Murdered By” Side B (Deluxe) hosted by Gray Rizzy.

In the interview, Eminem tells the story behind the lyrics aimed at Rihanna from his unreleased track “Things Get Worse” and his apology to her on the track titled “Zeus”.

Eminem reveals what it was like trying to “relearn” how to rap again because of his drug addiction between Encore and Relapse album.

The Detroit Emcee says, “Honest to God, I told Paul this when it first happened. First, I do not know how somebody got it. Second of all, I have zero recollection of even remembering doing that verse. Like, the rhyme schemes did not even sound familiar to me, so I was caught off-guard. It was most likely recorded during the early stages of working on Relapse album.”
