Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album delayed

Drizzy’s much anticipated Certified lover boy project has been pushed back and won’t be released in January. Canadian rapper shared the news via Instagram story.

“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has Benn dedicated to recovery.” Drake posted, “I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January”. he ended with, “I’m looking forward to share it with you all in 2021.”

Drake first teased the album via Instagram in 2019, with captions “Album mode”. Canadian rapper officially announced his sixth studio was scheduled for the summer of 2020, just hours before the release of Dark Lane Demo Tapes. On October 24, rapper’s birthday, he and OVO Sound, posted a short video telling  that the delivery of project was being pushed to 2021.
