The “most exclusive sandal ever made” was created by Brooklyn collective MSCHF, and range between $34,000 to $76,000, depending on size. The “Birkinstocks” were made from a $48,000 deconstructed Hermès Birkin Porosus bag with gold vermeil buckles.
The Birkin was created by Hermès in 1984. It is known for holding its value. The pricey bags take a minimum of 18 hours to make.
