Meek Mill Responds to critics over Kobe lyric in newly leaked rap lines

In his upcoming track, which features Lil Baby, Meek Mill is getting backlash for his rap line about the tragic death of Kobe Bryant.

On Februry 17 social media filled with criticism over that specific line, in which Meek references the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others.

“Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe, Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe).” Meek raps.

And Lil Baby raps about wanting to “have a son, so I can name him Kobe/Daughter Gigi.”

Early Thursday morning, Meek appeared to respond to the backlash on his Twitter account.

“somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it…. y’all internet antics cannot stop me ….sh*t like zombie land or something! Lol.” – he wrote.

“They paying to influence y’all now … its almost like mind control ‘wake up’.” – the Philly rapper added.
