JAY-Z’s latest deal with Square to benefit Tidal co-owners J. Cole, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and more

Last week it was announced by Twitter CEO and Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z that Hov’s owned streaming service Tidal has been sold to Jack’s Square Inc. for estimated $297 Million. Jay-Z called the partnership as “game changer for many” as he joins board members of Square Inc. too.

At the time of launch of Tidal back in 2015 , Hov was joined by his Roc Nation artists on stage the likes of Kanye West, Rihanna, Usher , Nicki Minaj, J. Cole every heavyweight was standing with Jay as co-owners of the newly formed streaming service.

So Who are the co – owners and how much they will receive from latest deal?

On Tidal’s official website 15 artists are listed as co-owners which includes Alicia Keys, Arcade Fire’s Win Butler and Regine Chassagne, Beyonce, Calvin Harris , Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Daft Punk , Damien Marley , deadmau5 ,Indochin, J. Cole, Jack White , Jason Aldean , Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter , Kanye West , Lil Wayne, Madonna , Nicki Minaj , Rihanna , T.I. and Usher.

On Tidal’s initial contract each act was gifted 3% in equity of Tidal in an effort to provide exclusive content. According to reports each of the artist will earn around nearly $8.91 Million alone off the latest deal .
