Kid Cudi reminisces his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar

Few hours ago Kid Cudi was tweeting out lyrics off his third studio album “Indicud” as it’s 8th anniversary approaches in few weeks. One of the lyric shared by the influential artist was his sole collaboration with Compton emcee Kendrick Lamar.

Cudi screenshotted Kendrick’s chorus on the song “Solo Dolo Pt. II” where Kendrick says “God Bless  My Tongue I need it for life”, on the caption Kid Cudi like every Kendrick fan expressed missing his presence. It’s well known that Kendrick Lamar hasn’t put a single since 2018 and his last studio album was “DAMN.” that was released in 2017.

Back in 2012 Kendrick talked little bit about this collaboration “I like Kid Cudi a lot. He got a crazy, unique style. I just really felt the opportunity to knock that out on this next, upcoming album.”

Cudi also shared his experience linking up with Kendrick back then  “I look at Kendrick Lamar as the new solo dolo, like a n**ga just doing his thing and killing it. It was just perfect he came in , i had my verse but i didn’t have hook yet. He came up with the hook and his verse on the spot”
