Hannah Montana, one of television’s most popular series, debuted on the Disney Channel 15 years ago
Miley Cyrus’ rise to global fame started 15 years ago with the debut of her Disney Channel television show Hannah Montana. The series, which was targeted at a younger audience, premiered on March 24, 2006 and ran for nearly five years before ending in 2011. The show certainly had a significant impact on her career, and she even said that she “would love” to see it return in some form. But, before then, an anniversary celebration is in order, and the singer made sure to take a moment to reflect, not without paying tribute to the Migos for their 2013 single “Hannah Montana.”
Miley sent them flowers as a thank you for the track, the rap trio revealed on Instagram. Despite the fact that the song’s lyrics have nothing to do with the TV show rather her name was used as a euphemism for drugs, the singer expressed her gratitude for the decision to name the song after her character in a message attached to the flowers.
