Rod Wave says he removed himself from Drake’s “Lemon Pepper Freestyle”

In a recent interview with Apple Music’s The Plug Radio show, Rod Wave reveals that he was supposed to be on Drake and Rick Ross’ “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” but thought it was not right time to collaborate with Dreezy and removed his own verse.

“I was supposed to be on Drake’s “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” but I did not like how my verse came out. So I kind of scratched it. I did not like how my voice came out and you know with a Drake feature, you do not want to, you know what I am saying? It is like my first thing, it is a big deal, have to come with it, you know what I am saying? All that. I kind of had got cold feet, so kind of shook me up a little bit. So I was like do not worry about it. I won’t be on Certified Lover Boy album too.”  – said the Florida rapper and RnB singer.

Rod Wave has previously teamed up with Drake to get sample clearance “Over My Dead Body” from “Take Care” album for his own song, titled “OMDB.”

Back in 2018, Rod Wave  also made a song titled “Girls Love Drake,” paying homage to Dreezy.
