Jay-Z and Nas beef during early 2000’s is very well documented in hip-hop history, peak moment of the beef was when Nas dropped “Ether” in response to Hov’s “Takeover” , taking the feud to another level.
During his latest sit down with Drink Champs’ N.OR.E and DJ EFN, Dipset rapper Cam’Ron remembers the time when he brought out well known DJ Kay Slay to Roc -A-Fella’s office
“First thing that happened is I brought Kay Slay up there and I didn’t know he (JAY-Z) was mad at Kay Slay ‘cause he must have played ‘Ether’ at the time and he was mad at Nas“. Cam continued “I’m leaving, Jay is in the lobby of Baseline. So, I walk Kay to the elevator, and I guess Kay and JAY-Z said, ‘What’s up?
Cam then tells Jay-Z’s reaction “So, I walk back in, he said, ‘Yo, you gotta be careful who you’re bringing around here, we might’ve just slapped the sh*t out of Kay Slay.’ And I’m like, ‘Wait, what’s going on?’ He’s like, ‘Yo, just saying, be careful who you bring up here.’ I’m like, ‘Aight, cool. This is y’all house, I ain’t got a problem with that.”
Besides taking us to Roc-A-Fella era, Cam’Ron remembered his time with Dipset, he also picked his favorite rapper among Hov and Nas, also talked about his upcoming documentary.
