Rod Wave scores career’s first no.1 album with “Soulfly”

Florida native Rod Wave has earned his career’s first ever chart topping album on Billboard this week with his new album Soulfly. It also registers highest one week sales with 130,000K units sold for any R&B/hip-hop album released this year so far.

Rod Wave’s third studio album SoulfFly was released on March 26 including 19 tracks with just one guest feature of Polo G on the track “Richer”.

Rod Wave’s SoulFly also earned a highest streaming week for any R&B/hip-hop album this year with 189.2 million on-demand streams.

SoulFly is just the second R&B/hip-hop album to hit No. 1 the last five months. The last R&B/hip-hop effort to lead the tally was Playboi Carti’s Whole Lotta Red, which spent one week at No. 1
