Controversial rapper/singer Lil Nas X has shared new single accompanied by a music video titled “Sun Goes Down” in which the 22 year old takes listeners back to his past.
Lil Nas X touches on the topic of homophobia “These gay thoughts would always haunt me” , being a Nicki Minaj fan aka Barb “Stanning Nicki mornin’ into dawn /Only place I felt like I belonged. Strangers make you feel so loved, you know?”
Sun Goes Down is a very welcome tone as compared to Lil Nas’s previous highly controversial song and music video “Montero ( Call Me By Your Name)” which sees the rapper giving lap dance to a devil figure, instead in this new music video Lil Nas deals with the flashback of himself.
“i go back in time to visit a younger version self who’s struggling inside, hating himself, & doesn’t want to live anymore. i try my best to uplift him.” Lil Nas X summarized his latest music video which serves as third single of his much anticipated album “Montero”
