Just a few minutes ago, Spotify revealed the list of most streamed songs, artists and albums of 2021.
We decided to list every hip-hop artist who made the cut.
Starting with the “Top Artists of 2021 Global”, Drake and Juice WRLD made the list. The number 1 place as the most streamed artist globally was taken by Puerto Rican rapper, Bad Bunny. In this category, Drake takes the 4th place and Juice WRLD is number 10.
Next category, is the “Top Songs of 2021 Global.” Its no surprise that Lil Nas X and Doja Cat made the cut in this category as their songs: “Montero(Call Me By You Name)” and “Kiss Me More” where huge hits this year. Lil Nas X’s “Montero(Call Me By You Name)” is the second most streamed song globally, followed with Da Baby and Dua Lipa’s collaboration “Levitating” at number 5 and Doja Cat featuring SZA “Kiss Me More” at number 7.
“Top Albums Of The Year Global” named were: Doja Cat’s “Planet Her” on number 5, Lil Nas X’s “Montero” at number 6, Bad Bunny’s “El Último Tour Del Mundo” at number 8 and Pop Smoke’s “Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon” at number 9.
“Top Songs USA”: “Industry Baby” Lil Nas X ft. Jack Harlow take the 4th spot followed by “Smokin Out The Window” Bruno Mars ft. Anderson Paak and Silk Sonic at number 6 and “Stay” by Justin Bieber an The Kid LAROI at number 9.
“Top Albums USA” featured Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” at 3rd place followed by Doja Cat’s “Planet Her” at 4th, Kanye West’s “Donda” at 8th, Lil Nas X’s “Montero” at 9th and lastly, The Kid LAROI’s “F*ck Love(SAVAGE)” at 10th.
