Jay-Z might be the most requested artist for the Verzuz Battle where two artists play their hit songs one by one. Hov is not just a fan’s favorite for a Verzuz battle, he’s also challenged by star rappers like T.I., late DMX for a matchup.
But today Jay-Z aka Shawn Carter has finally spoken up about what he feels about a potential Verzuz appearance. In the latest conversation with Alicia Keys on Twitter Spaces, Jay straight up declares “No one can stand on that stage with me. It’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me”.
The 52-year-old icon also added that no one has seen him perform his Grammy Family Freestyle Live yet and it will be too much if he does it at Verzuz. He also picked Jadakiss’s Verzuz performance of “Who Shot Ya’ as the performance of the year.
Apart from the above statement Jay-Z also had praise for her wife Beyonce’s iconic Coachella performance which is also now termed as Beychella. Hov compared Beyonce to the legendary Michael Jackson “Michael Jackson ain’t never have a Coachella. Beyonce is an evolution of him”. said, Jay-Z.
