Album Of The Year contender in this year’s GRAMMYs, Donda by Kanye West is about to get a second installment. Late rapper Pop Smoke’s manager and former COO of Kanye’s label GOOD Music has confirmed that star rapper is currently finishing up Donda 2.
Complex earlier reported that Steven himself told them “Ye has started working on his new masterpiece DONDA 2″. When the album will be out and what more to expect from Kanye’s 11th studio album has not been revealed yet.
Throughout his career, Kanye has rarely danced around the idea of sequels of his project. Few instances like Cruel Winter, Watch The Throne 2, and most recently sequel of Jesus Is King 2 were announced by West himself but without any fruitful results.
Donda was released with high praise from fans as the album’s pre-release listening events broke the live streaming record twice on Apple Music. It featured almost anyone you can think from the likes of young guns, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch to the veterans, The Lox, Jay-Z. A few weeks later of its release Kanye dropped a deluxe edition of the album with a guest feature from Andre 3000.
