2022 has already started with a bang as a new album from Atlanta’s trap artist Gunna arrived on the first New Music Friday of the year.
It seems like we are just getting starting though cause still a lot of rap albums have been announced for the month of January already. Let’s take a look at all the major rappers set to drop this month.
Cordae – ‘From A Bird’s Eye View‘ – January 14
A much-awaited sophomore album from the Grammy-nominated rapper is coming in January. Cordae has released two singles ‘Super’ and ‘Gifted’ ft. Roddy Ricch prior to the release of the album. He recently dropped a freestyle over Kendrick Lamar’s The Heart Pt. 4 in the anticipation of the album.
2 Chainz – ‘Dope Don’t Sell Itself‘ – TBA
Atlanta’s own 2 Chainz announced last year that he’s all set to release his final trap album. On Friday 2 Chainz unveiled a new single titled ‘Million Dollars Worth Of Game’ ft. 42 Dugg. He also announced the album will arrive this month but an exact date is still unknown.
Earl Sweatshirt – Magic! – January 14
Earl Sweatshirt’s fourth studio album ‘Magic!’ will arrive on January 14 as the L.A.based rapper has recently released a new single titled ‘Titanic’ along with the tracklist which includes 10 tracks, production from Alchemist, and mixing by Young Guru.
NBA Youngboy – Untitled – TBA
A very little is known about NBA Youngboy’s upcoming tape which is expected to arrive this month according to the description of his latest music video on Youtube.
Snoop Dogg – B.O.D.R – TBA
Westcoast icon Snoop Dogg is gearing up to release a new solo project titled ‘B.O.D.R’ as announced on his Instagram post on 26th December. Snoop later shared a snippet for the project too.
NLE Choppa – Me Vs Me – January 14
Me vs. Me is Memphis rapper, NLE Choppa’s upcoming second studio album. The album has four singles released with one (Jumpin) featuring Polo G and is expected to drop on January 14th.
