Billboard : Kendrick Lamar to release new single before Superbowl Halftime

After almost four years of hiatus, we might be very close to the comeback from Compton’s iconic rapper Kendrick Lamar. In a new article published by Billboard where they listed Top Most Anticipated R&B/Hip-Hop albums of the year, the reputable music and entertainment magazine has hinted at an imminent release from Lamar.

Billboard reports “a possible Lamar single could come either Feb 4. or Feb 11 ahead of the star-studded performance. (Superbowl Halftime Show). As announced a few months ago Dr. Dre has enlisted Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige for SuperBowl Halftime Show which is said to be a historical event for Hip-Hop/R&B.

In a new interview Dr, Dre revealed the time length of the performance  “Normally, they are allowing eleven minutes [for the performance] but they gave us north of 13 minutes to do our thing,” 

Few months ago Kendrick Lamar opened up about his upcoming album as he teased farewell from the label TDE and transitioned into his own label pg-lang, “As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years.” wrote Kendrick in the note. Since then the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper is yet to give any concrete information about his long-awaited album, he has also linked up with his protege and pg-lang member Baby Keem on his major debut album ‘The Melodic Blue’.
