Eminem, A Tribe Called Quest nominated for 2022 ‘Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame’ Induction

The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame ballot is announced today which includes Detroit’s icon Eminem and New York-based legendary hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest. Both are the only Hip-Hop acts nominated in this year’s nominations, also it’s their first appearance in the list of nominees.

Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame is a museum that documents the history of rock music and the artists, producers, engineers, and other notable figures who have influenced its development.

This year’s other nominations include Pat Benatar, Kate Bush, Devo, Eurythmics, Judas Priest, Fela Kuti, MC5, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, and Dionne Warwick. According to New York Times, More than 1,000 artists, historians, and music industry professionals will now vote among 17 nominated artists and shortlist the name of five to seven artists for the list of induction that will be announced in May.

Last year LL Cool J and Jay-Z were the rappers that were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Hall Of Fame. This year’s induction ceremony is slated for the fall, more detail is to be released soon.
