Fivio Foreign responds to New York Mayor planning to ban Drill Rap

This Friday New York City Mayor Eric Adams made the headlines as he talked about banning drill rap music off social media.

While addressing the media Eric said “I had no idea what drill rapping was, but I called my son and he sent me some videos and it is alarming” said the Mayor. He continued explaining his plans to ban Drill Rap from social media “We will sit down with social media companies and state that you have a civic and corporate responsibility. You know we pulled Trump off Twitter because of what he was spewing. Yet we are allowing the music and displaying of guns, the violence we are allowing it to stay on these sites. We are alarmed by the use of social media to over proliferate this violence in communities”

According to a report by NY Post, Mayor plans on meeting with civil rights activists and NAACP president among others about his crime-fighting agenda.

One of the prominent drill rapper Fivio Foreign responded to the statement made by Mayor Eric Adams, as he asked his recent collaboration with Alicia Keys and Kanye West ‘City Of Gods’ music video to be not banned.

City of Gods” got kanyewest & aliciakeys showing luv 4 NYC. I luv this city, all we tryna do is be positive inspirations for communities & families. This is tha sound of New York. We just tryna show tha world how far we can take it. Don’t stop tha video from dropping ” urged Fivio Foreign while also adding that he is open to working on some common ground to make this situation better as he believes Drill rap music is not causing or contributing to the violence.
