Houston-based Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has been honored today with her own day i.e. May 2nd which will be a holiday in the city and also will be celebrated as Megan Thee Stallion Day.
In addition, Grammy Award-winning Rapper Megan was handed Keys To The City by the Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner during a ceremony held at Houston City Council.
Mayor Sylvester Turner officially announced that May 2nd will be known as “Megan Thee Stallion Day” in the city of Houston, Texas.

Mayor’s office said Megan was recognized for her Philanthropy work through her charity ‘Pete and Thomas’ dedicated to her parents which serves “women, children, senior citizens, and underserved communities in Houston, Texas and across the world” announced Megan on her birthday earlier this year.
Mayor Sylvester Turner praised Megan for her work saying “Today, I was proud to take a moment to celebrate the philanthropic contributions of Megan along with her family and many of our Council Members. Her contributions to Houston have helped a tremendous amount of people and uplifted our city when we needed it the most.”
Megan Thee Stallion thanked the Mayor and promised to continue giving back “thank you Mayor @sylvesterturner for honoring me today and I will continue to give back to the city that made me who I am today ” wrote Meg on her IG Post.
