Westside Boogie recently promoted his latest project on SiriusXM’s Sway in the Morning, when Eminem surprised him with a phone call.

“I feel like I was being talked about, so I came on,”
said Marshall

Sway Calloway, the host of the show, quickly asked the Detroit legend what he thought of Boogie’s second Shady Records album, “More Black Superheros,” which featured Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy, and others.

“That’s why I was calling in man, I just wanted to congratulate Boogie cause the album is incredible,”  Em replied. “Once we go off the air Imma tell you how trash it is. [He Joked]. But for now, you know, the sh*t is crazy.  That’s great yo. It’s my sh*t bro. I have been bumping that sh*t for almost three weeks.”

Marshall also discussed mental health and addiction, as well as how he used hip-hop to cope with the difficulties he faced.

“I think that is one of the great things about rap music is that you know, you could put so much of your life into it. […] It’s therapeutic and that’s how it has always been for me but with this new Boogie album, the title, everything is f*cking great, watching him just keep getting better and better and better is incredible too and he’s got so much in his life weaved in this album. I think it’s therapeutic,” said Em.

Everyone in the studio then broke out into a freestyle. Iman and Westside Boogie, both delivered some fire lines.

“Bro, that was a lot of f*cking bars to wrap my head around,” said Eminem about the freestyles.

Iman. also expressed his respect for Slim Shady, saying:

“I have been listening to your albums for a long time man. I want you to know the first time I read the artist’s actual lyrics was The Eminem Show. I actually got to read the inside of your book. That was the first time I learned the album forward and back,” he said.
