During the interview, Breezy was asked about the hypothetical ‘Verzuz’ scenario with Drake.

“I mean, you know what? That would be a formidable champ,” Chris said. “But you gotta think, when we go back to genres, you know what the consensus was? ‘No, they do not do the same music.”

Brown went on to explain the difference between his and Drizzy’s style, noting that he sings around “95 percent” of his songs.

“You gotta understand, I sing 95 percent of my staff and you might hear a scratch of a scribble of rap from me every now and then.  You don’t hear it as like ‘Oh, yeah! his single coming out, he rapping the whole time.’ So, it’s two different genres. I even looked at some of the comments of what they[Fans] would think about that. I mean, I ain’t duking no smoke but at the same time, I know he is a formidable opponent. I think he got hits.”

The 33-year-old singer also admitted that, despite the stylistic differences, a one-on-one with Drake would be “dope.”

“He’s got a catalog, I’ve got a catalog,” he said.

Brown later confirmed hearing Drake’s latest project, “Honestly, Nevermind.” Breezy highlighted “Jimmy Cooks” featuring 21 Savage as his favorite track from the album.

“I already like the song with him and 21 Savage. That sh*t is fire,”  he said.
