In a new documentary, “Life of Pink”, which was released on Hulu this week, MGK describes one of the darkest moments in his life. Colson explains why songs like “Lonely” are significant to him, claiming that most of his listeners are seeking pain in his songs to relate to. MGK also discussed his father’s death and the effect it had on his mental health.

“I would not leave my room and I started getting really, really, really dark. Like, Megan [Megan Fox] went to Bulgaria to shoot a movie and I started getting this really wild paranoia,” says Colson. “I kept getting paranoid that someone was gonna come and kill me. And then there was this, I would always sleep with a shotgun next to my bed, and one of the days I just f—- snapped.”

During one of his paranoid states, the 32-year-old singer called his girlfriend, Megan Fox, and was “freaking out” on her.

“I was like, ‘You were not here for me,’ I am in my room and I am freaking out on her. Dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth and I am yelling on the phone, and, like, the barrel is in my mouth and I go to c— the shotgun, and the bullet, as it comes back up, the shell just gets jammed. Megan is, like, dead silent. That was kind of where I started realizing something is not right!”

MGK went on to describe how Megan Fox and his daughter approached him following the incident, concerned for his well-being.

“Megan is like, ‘There is two yous’ and it was the same thing with my daughter,” he said, claiming that the experience motivated him to “kick the drugs.”

According to Colson, Fox is “like the sun” to him. Baker dedicated his 2022 Billboard Music Awards performance to Megan, revealing he wrote “Twin Flame” just for her.
