Last night Nicki Minaj headlined Essence Festival in New Orleans where she performed her career-spanning hits along with the latest songs like ‘We Go Up’ , and ‘Seeing Green’.

Kanye West’s collaboration ‘Monster’ a song that undoubtedly skyrocketed then 27-year-old Rapper’s career would be expected as a no-brainer part of the setlist. But Nicki took a left turn last night, as soon as the DJ started playing the track from Kanye West’s 2010 album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy , Nicki cut him off.

Nicki exclaims while cutting the track which also included Rick Ross and Jay-Z as guest features “Wait hold on hold on….I’m Monstered up..I’m Monstered Up….We don’t f*ck with Clowns”. Minaj’s announcement was met with cheers from fans during the show.

Meanwhile, on Twitter, the fans of both artists are deducing that Nicki’s act might be the cause of Kanye linking up with her archenemy Cardi B on her song ‘Hot Sh*t’ which was released just yesterday. Check out some of the reactions below:

And Kanye West can get dragged too! Because now I believe he didn’t release NEW BODY because of his relationship with OFFSET!! Whole industry be teaming up against Nicki Minaj! Then had the nerve to call her his SISTER a few months ago.

Apart from the above incident, Nicki’s performance was on par as she brought out her mentor Lil Wayne as a surprise guest , both performed their latest collaboration ‘Seeing Green for the first time ever. Along with it Weezy performerd his hit ‘A Milli’ , Truffle Butter’ and more.
