Watch : Nicki Minaj refuse to perform Kanye West collaboration ‘Monster’ , says “we don’t f*ck with clowns”

Last night Nicki Minaj headlined Essence Festival in New Orleans where she performed her career-spanning hits along with the latest songs like ‘We Go Up’ , and ‘Seeing Green’.

Kanye West’s collaboration ‘Monster’ a song that undoubtedly skyrocketed then 27-year-old Rapper’s career would be expected as a no-brainer part of the setlist. But Nicki took a left turn last night, as soon as the DJ started playing the track from Kanye West’s 2010 album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy , Nicki cut him off.

Nicki exclaims while cutting the track which also included Rick Ross and Jay-Z as guest features “Wait hold on hold on….I’m Monstered up..I’m Monstered Up….We don’t f*ck with Clowns”. Minaj’s announcement was met with cheers from fans during the show.

Meanwhile, on Twitter, the fans of both artists are deducing that Nicki’s act might be the cause of Kanye linking up with her archenemy Cardi B on her song ‘Hot Sh*t’ which was released just yesterday. Check out some of the reactions below:
