The Wireless Festival is an annual rap music festival held in London, England. This year, the event took place at Crystal Palace Park on July 1-3.
Day two’s highlight was undoubtedly Playboi Carti’s iconic performance. With his wicked, rock-infused show, the rapper did not disappoint.
While performing “Stop Breathing,” a diss track that was inspired by the murder of his close friend, Carti let out savage screams. During the song, the crowd went wild, chanting the lines from the song, “Ever since my brother died / I’ve been thinking about homicide!”
“Stop Breathing” is written for Black Americans to express their rage at being trapped in almost unending cycles of violence.

Another unforgettable moment from the set was when Playboi Carti fell off the stage. Carti was mid-flow when he went off from the platform, with many fans filming the incident.
The 25-year-old rapper was sprinting backward on stage while performing his song “Sky” when he reached the edge and failed to stop. Carti was back on his feet in seconds, smiling and turning the embarrassing moment into an opportunity to run through the crowd and perform in front of them.
