As promised OVO boss Drake has announced something big this Wednesday evening. On his, Instagram Drake has shared October World Tour Weekend which will be the road to the worldwide OVO Fest Tour.
Drake founded his own label imprint OVO i.e. October’s Very Own with his friends Noah Shebib 40 and Oliver Khatib in 2012. So to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the label that’s house to acts like PartyNextDoor, Majid Jordan, and recently signed Toronto’s rising star Smiley, Drake is planning to take the OVO Fest to the world stage.
“I am currently working on bringing OVO FEST around the world in 2023 ” wrote the superstar on his Instagram post.
Along with OVO Fest Drake also announced a reunion with his fellow Young Money Rap stars Nicki and Lil Wayne that will happen on August 1 at Budweiser Stage during the October World Tour Weekend in Toronto.
Last year Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne linked up after quite some time on Nicki’s song ‘Seeing Green’ which sees the iconic trio trading bars over 5 minutes 39-sec track. Recently Nicki also brought out her mentor Lil Wayne during her Essence Festival headlining show.
Meanwhile on his IG Drake announced there will be more announcements coming regarding the OVO fest and tickets for the October World Tour which will also see Chris Brown and Lil Baby performing on July 29th, go on sale this Friday on Ticketmaster.
