Amber Rose Reveals Kanye West’s early reaction to Nicki Minaj’s verse on his song ‘Monster’

Kanye West’s former girlfriend and supermodel Amber Rose joined Higher Learning Podcast where she tells the hosts that she has a good ear for music and that she A&R’d for all of her Rapper boyfriend’s projects( Kanye, Wiz Khalifa, and 21 Savage)

Hosts being curious asks her to tell more as Amber revealed that she brought then buzzing Rapper Nicki Minaj to Kanye’s attention during the ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy‘ recording session.

“I put Nicki on Monster…he (Kanye) didn’t know who Nicki was back then. I saw her in the studio and thought oh my god this b— is talented as hell says Amber Rose praising Nicki Minaj.

Amber also tells that Kanye initially was hesitant to collaborate with Nicki at first but she convinced him to invite Minaj to the studio. After hearing the track the next day Nicki returned with her verse, Amber revealed upon listening to the song Kanye told her  “how the f— you gonna bring a b— who killed me on my own song?”

“Monster’ which features other two heavyweights like Jay-Z and Rick Ross, definitely propelled Nicki Minaj’s career to new heights. Nicki herself says that the verse was a breakout moment for her in a 2010 interviewI held my own and I stayed true to my crazy animation, and it’s like I didn’t have to take my fun stuff [out]… I was able to incorporate [the real] Nicki Minaj on a record with JAY-Z and Kanye West. And I think people know that’s a difficult task in itself.”
