Atlanta-based hitmaker 21 Savage took to Twitter where he appealed to the folks from his city “Atlanta We Have To Do Better put the f—in guns down”. The response to the tweet wasn’t as 21 might have expected as his followers bring up his violent-provoking lyrics.
The lyrics from different songs of 21 were brought up in response to the tweet for example “Pull up to your mama house keep shooting there till somebody dies”, “Spin the block twice like it ain’t nowhere to park”.

N—s host one community outreach event and turn into MLK. Y’all n—s gotta learn that you can’t feed corruption to the culture and then think you can clean it up with a food drive in your hood.

21 Savage addressed the criticism of the above mention of his lyrics by saying “A Song Is For Entertainment It’s Not An Instruction Manual On How To Live Life In Real Life I Give Away A lot Of Money And Spread Financial Literacy To My Community Stop Trying To Make Me 1 Dimensional”

21 Savage made the appeal after several shootings were reported across Metro Atlanta. According to CBS46 one of the shootings involved a 4-year-old who was found shot to death in a car on I-85 in DeKalb County
Meanwhile, there were some fans who also defended Savage’s lyrics by saying “Imagine an actor says something and the comments are like ‘but you were in that movie tho”
