Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show Starring Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg , Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent wins Emmy

The biggest Hip-Hop event of the year Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show which saw superstars led by Dr. Dre performing at the Sofi Stadium in L.A. has won Emmy Award in the ‘Outstanding Variety Special Live‘ category.

Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and 50 Cent graced the Halftime Show performing their career-defining hits like ‘Still Dre, ‘The Next Episode’, ‘Forgot About Dre’, ”In Da Club, Alright, Family Affair, Lose Yourself for a spectacular 14-minute spot which got everyone talking.

According to a report The Super Bowl Halftime Show was viewed by more than 104 million people a 7 % increase from The Weeknd’s last year’s performance.

50 Cent who was a surprise performer at the Halftime Show has reacted to the Emmy win where he thanked his former Shady Records boss Eminem.

Snoop Dogg has also acknowledged the win calling himself an Emmy Winner

Previously Dr. Dre told reporters that this performance will open the door for hip-hop artists to perform at the show in the future “We’re gonna open more doors for hip-hop artists in the future, making sure the NFL understands that this is what it should have been a long time ago. We’re gonna show exactly how professional we can be, how dope we’re gonna be on stage, and how exciting we’re going to be to fans.”
