Lil Wayne declares JAY-Z as Tom Brady Of Rap

During the latest appearance in Marcellus Wiley’s podcast More To It, Lil Wayne aka Weezy was asked to name down his Greatest Rapper Of All Time that’s not you. Weezy’s immediate response was late Brooklyn Emcee Notorious BIG.

Wayne then apologized and asked you said all time? correcting his previous answer Wayne once again replied “The greatest rapper of all time is Shawn ‘JAY-Z’ Carter,” he continued explaining and comparing Hov to seven times Superbowl winner Tom Brady “When you do this rapping thing, obviously like football, every sport is different. You play hockey, I’m sure they got something that they only know about. Something that they probably can’t explain, but only they know. That thing in rap, that we only know in rap, he has that. He’s the Tom Brady of that.”

Not so long ago Lil Wayne was asked to name down his Top 5 Rappers Dead Or Alive and he ranked Missy Elliot as first on his list crediting her for influencing him he then names Jay-Z whom he says is the best ever to speak.

In the same podcast with Wiley, Wayne was asked what’s the best competition for  Young Money/Cash Money in a Verzuz Battle where he named Jay-Z’s old label Roc-A-Fella. Weezy’s ties with Hov’s label go back to a few years ago when Hov offered him to sign with Roc-A-Fella and $175K upfront. During a Live performance in 2016 Lil Wayne even changed his lyric on the song ‘I’m Me’ from “I’m a Cash Millionaire” to “I’m a Roc-A-Fella Millionaire“.
