In a new interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Chicago’s Rap Star Lil Durk opens up with his team like never before on the gun violence in his city, losing his family members and associates like DThang, King Von and building a much better future.
The interview which took place during the conclusion of the tour in support of Durk’s most recent album “7220” starts with Rappersaying “We never imagined that” on sold-out shows in his own city of Chicago. In the article which’s headline reads “Chicago Rapper Wants To Stop The Violence ” , Durk states addressing the growing violence in his city “I’m going to start by getting the city together,” he says, “to do my part to slow down the violence.”
Durk also brought up his three-month stint in jail following a gun charge “Unfocused, lost. Thinking about gangbanging. No type of leadership within me, or around. But I don’t regret nothing from the past.” said Durk remembering his past.

Since being in the mainstream eyes for the last few years Lil Durk has also been part of multiple feuds with various Rappers from his own city, NBA YoungBoy, and 6ix9ine among others, and has to suffer the loss of his protege King Von and his own brother DThang. Lil Durk has cleared his stance on the back and forth culture saying “You get angry fast and one reply can f-k up a billion dollars.” following up with much bigger stance on stopping gang violence he says “That’s why I’m not saying names no more [in my music],I ain’t speaking on the dead no more — none of that.”

Lil Durk who’s also the father of six children promises a better future for them “I’m not chasing death no more. I’m chasing a billion dollars. I want our kids to grow up safe and sound, to be able to have fun, to have a real life.”

The above statements from OTF co-founder Lil Durk can be seen as a huge step forward towards stopping back and forth in regards to his long-standing beef with Louisana-based Rapper NBA YoungBoy with whom a lot of subliminal and direct shots both on social media and tracks are going on for last few years.
