R&B hitmaker Chris Brown has taken to his Instagram to reveal that his tribute to the King Of Pop Michael Jackson’s iconic album Thiller at the American Music Awards has been canceled last minute for unknown reasons.
The 33 years old singer shared a clip of the rehearsals on his IG with the caption “U SERIOUS?” he also added in comments “WOULDVE Been the ama performance but they cancelled me for reasons unknown”.
Yesterday Sony Music and the Estate of Michael Jackson released Thriller 40 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the iconic album from MJ. It includes a second disc full of surprises for fans including never-released tracks which were worked on by Michael for the Thriller album.
Meanwhile, American Music Awards is scheduled to be aired live this Sunday on ABC, it will be interesting to see if Chris Brown’s tribute to MJ is canceled then who will be honoring the late legend? Watch the footage of rehearsals of choreography shared by Chris Brown below:
In an interview earlier this year Chris Brown responded to comparisons with Michael Jackson as some were even calling him better than MJ, Chris humbly responded “I stay the hell out of it. Like i kinda back off it. I wouldn’t be breathing or even been able to sing a song if that man didn’t exist..He’s light years ahead way ahead ..there is no competing with him”
