Fans React to Saweetie dissing Quavo as he mourns loss of Takeoff

Last month Quavo teamed up with his other half of the recently formed duo “Unc and Phew”, Takeoff for a new music video titled “Messy” where he recreated an infamous incident with his ex Saweetie in the elevator. In the song itself, Migos star Quavo raps “I said Caresha Please cause she too messy /B— f–k my dawg behind my back i ain’t stressing. You wanted the gang you shoulda just said it/we would have blessed it. Now s— got messy”

Saweetie released a new six-track EP titled “The Single Life”  yesterday, on the project’s first track “Don’t Say Nothin'”, Saweetie fires back at Quavo subliminally :

“Why n—- always speakin’ on who I’m f—‘ on?
He must’ve got excited when I FaceTimed with nothin’ on
Them same lips that’s yappin’ be the ones I nutted on
A hunnid K, please, know how much paper I be touchin’ on?
That’s light, better check my net worth

After the song’s release fans started to debate if the timing of the shots is right when Quavo is mourning the loss of Takeoff who passed away a day later than the release of the “Messy” music video.

One fan said “I’m sorry but Takeoff passing away doesn’t mean Saweetie should never respond to the disrespect from Quavo. & I’m standing on that.” while another fan said Saweetie deliberately released it while Quavo is mourning “Can’t lie Saweetie had her chance to drop a song in response to Quavo. Why she wait til now? Man watched his nephew die and buried him in a matter of days. Come on sis. “
