Pusha-T has covered the latest issue of XXL Magazine where the Virginia-based emcee proclaims he’s got the Best Rap Album of 2022 with “It’s Almost Dry”, reveals his current status at G.O.O.D Music, talks about Drake and Kanye.
Pusha-T was asked about his 4 years old back high profile back and forth with Drake which led many fans to say Pusha-T had the upper hand “Every time I hear a subliminal in one of his songs, it just lets me know how deep it hurt him. Because it’s been four years now. And we still talking about it. He is. I don’t. I’m cool. But every time it’s a subliminal, I’m like, Yes. It burns. It still burns. It lets me know. I love it.” said Pusha.
Back in 2018 when Drake and Pusha’T’s beef was at its height with Push taking multiple shots on his album “Daytona” then Drake responded with a diss track “Duppy Freestyle” and in return, Pusha fired back with “The Story Of Adidon” after which Drake didn’t release a direct diss but since then he has been taking slight jabs at his nemesis most recently on the track “Churchill Downs” with Jack Harlow.
The interviewer also asked Pusha that Drake has said Pusha took it to a level that things will never be squashed between them, does he expect a direct diss track from Drake? “We should see. I don’t know what he’ll do. At this point, that’s contradictory. Would he jump out the window? And he wanna say I took it too far? Then he gon’ tell people. Tell the label. Tell J Prince. My God. It’s a lot. With all of that being said, it’s like I’m not interested anymore. I’m just really not.” replied Pusha-T.
Elsewhere in the interview, Pusha-T revealed he’s no longer president of “G.O.O.D Music” a label founded by Kanye West but he’s still on Def Jam with a 50-50 partnership for his own label.
