Kim Kardashian recently discussed her co-parenting situation with ex-husband Kanye West, with who she shares four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

Kim revealed during the “Angie Martinez IRL” interview. The reality star claimed that it’s difficult for her to keep the current Kanye West scandal from her children while managing to co-parent with him. She goes on to say that she does everything she can to keep the negativity away from their children.

“I definitely protected him [Ye] and I still will in the eyes of my kids,” she told Angie Martinez. “In my home, my kids do not know anything that goes on in the outside world.”

The Skims creator cried as she remembered her father, Robert Kardashian, stating she wanted to give her children the same wonderful memories Robert gave her while also acknowledging how difficult it is to live with the constant stream of controversy.

“I had the best dad,” she said. “Like co-parenting, it’s really f-ing hard… But I had the best dad and I had the best memories and the greatest experience and that’s all I want for my kids. As long as they can have that, that’s what I would want for them. So, like, if they don’t know the things that are being said, or what’s happening in the world, why would I ever bring that energy to them?”

She continued: “That’s like, real heavy, heavy grown-up s-t. But they aren’t ready to deal with it, and when they are, we will have those conversations and I’ll be so prepared. But until that, I’ll do anything to keep their lives as normal as possible.”
