Drake’s concert at Harlem’s Apollo Theater on Sunday night was briefly paused after a scary fan incident.
Footage surfaced on the internet showing a fan falling from a second-story balcony just after Drizzy invited 21 Savage to perform ‘Rich flex.’
According to media reports, a man who fell also landed on another attendee. Just as the incident happened, you can see Drake turning his back to the crowd, missing the moment. However, one of the crew members quickly ran on stage to inform the Canadian rapper who then paused the show.
In one of the clips, you can hear Drake saying, “Just gonna make sure somebody’s okay.”
The concert was halted for fifteen minutes as emergency personnel treated the injuries. According to TMZ, the 26-year-old fan was likely intoxicated. It was also revealed that the man was transferred to the nearest hospital to be properly checked.
A representative from the Apollo Theater made an announcement saying:
“Everybody is absolutely okay. They are being checked on and no major injuries have been reported.” The announcer continued, “But I have got better news for everybody, we are at Apollo so the show must go on.”
Drizzy and 21 Savage then went on to perform a few songs from their joint album “Her Loss.”
