In the honor of Hip-Hop completing 50 years since its inception in the Bronx by DJ Kool Herc, Billboard, and Vibe magazine have teamed up to list the 50 Greatest Rappers Of All Time.
Since last month every week a ten Rappers list like 50th to 41, 40th to 31, and so on was published. Today finally Top 10 list was released and behold the 10 Greatest Rappers Of all Time which is conquered by none other than Brooklyn’s own Jay-Z.
In the editorial piece about Roc-A-Fella founder Jay-Z Billboard/Vibe wrote praising his legendary career “Jay-Z believes everyone has genius-level talent. Lucky for us, Jay found his early in life and has since become your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper. Maybe there are other rappers who could claim to match Jay at his peak. But there are simply none who can match his entire career — his longevity, the breadth of his accomplishments, and what he’s meant to hip-hop from a musical, cultural and financial standpoint for the last three decades.”
Other notable Rappers that were present in Top 10 were Kendrick Lamar #2 , Nas #3 and Eminem at #5. Young Money star Rappers Drake , Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj found themselves at below Top 5 of the list.
