Lil Wayne says he doesn’t remember anything about Tha Carter series

One of the most influential Rappers of this generation Lil Wayne is notorious for his weak memory when talking in interviews. One such example occurred during his latest interview with Rolling Stone magazine where the interviewer asked Weezy to discuss one of the most successful albums “Tha Carter 3” on its 15th Anniversary.

Wayne hilariously responded by claiming that he honestly doesn’t know about Tha Carter 3 and the rest of the Carter series up to 4th installment.

“I’m going to be so honest with you: I don’t know Tha Carter III, Tha Carter II, Tha Carter One from Tha Carter IV. And that’s just my God’s honest truth. You could lie, you could ask me [about] such and such song, I wouldn’t even know what we talking about. So it holds no significance to me at all.” said Lil Wayne.

Wayne doesn’t even remember what year Tha Carter 3 was released as he further says “Nah, I don’t even know if that’s when Tha Carter III came out. That’s how much I don’t know. I work every day, bro — every single day. And also, I always look at it as the curse part of the gift and the curse. I believe that [God] blessed me with this amazing mind, but would not give [me] an amazing memory to remember this amazing s***”

It’s needless to say Tha Carter series especially Carter 3 holds great value not just in Lil Wayne’s discography but the whole of Hip-Hop as well. Just last year Wayne announced he was working on the sixth installment of the Tha Carter series but in this interview, he didn’t discuss anything about it, Wayne does confirm his upcoming project with 2 Chainz is done and is waiting for samples clearing.
