In Honor Of Hip-Hop turning 50 Years this year, Billboard Magazine ranked Top 50 Best Rappers earlier this year where they ranked JAY-Z at the top. Now Billboard is back with their list of Top 50 Best Rap Groups of all time and it’s none other than Outkast duo of Atlanta emcees Big Boi and Andre 3000 at the top.
Billboard praised Outkast’s amazing run from their debut album “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik” which was released in 1994 to 2000’s “Stankonia” calling it “unparalleled”. On their impact, Billboard says “their legacies will always be intertwined; distinct voices echoing across the annals of hip-hop in perfect harmony. OutKast set the gold standard for rap groups”
Another notable Rap group in their lists was Wu-Tang Clan at #2 praising them Billboard says “ Never has a group before or since burst onto the scene with such unbridled power, self-assurance, bravado, and top-level lyricism”
