Former G-Unit member Tony Yayo was a guest on Drinks Champ where he started a debate that has now transformed on social media as well.
Yayo asked the host DJ EFN to name his favorite Rapper, to which he replied with Ice Cube as he clarified he was born in LA. Yayo then mocked the host of the podcast and started Rapping Biggie’s verse from the song “N*** Bleed” and asked him “So you telling me Ice Cube is a better story teller than Biggie? You F*** buggin!”You lost your f*** mind!”
DJ EFN fired back by naming Ice Cube’s work with NWA, his solo albums “Death Certificate”, and “America’s Most Wanted” and made his case that Cube clears Biggie in all aspects. Tony Yayo kept repeating Biggie is a better storyteller and also naming another East Coast legend Slick Rick and he later remarked that DJ EFN doesn’t know hip-hop.
The clip of the heated debate has now gone viral on social media as legendary Rapper Ice Cube’s shared on his Twitter a remark that Biggie’s album “Life After Death” concept was stolen from Ice Cube’s album “Death Certificate”. He also added, “ask Diddy..it’s all love tho”.
Shoutout to @djEFN People know who my goat is so it’s not fair to even ask me. But I will say that Life After Death whole concept is from Death Certificate.
Ask @Diddy if I’m lying.

Biggie is my favorite rapper of all time. Ice Cube has a great catalog & longevity while being a member of several dope groups like NWA, Da Lench Mob & Westside Connection.
Cube ranks higher. You have to have some objectivity when comparing the greats.

Why are we pitting Ice Cube & Biggie against one another? 🤦🏽♂️ Why not just Appreciate both and call it a day?

Sorry but, Biggie isn’t better than Ice Cube! Cube just got burnt out so we were able to see the deterioration. Biggie died popping, so he didn’t have a long enough career to get wack. Biggie had the skill, but he also was anointed as the east coast savior. He HAD to win!
