T.I. sat down with All Hip Hop Podcast where he chops down the 20th anniversary of his second studio album Trap Muzik and how he helped create Trap Music as an art form which now has taken giant form as a subgenre of Rap itself.
42 years old veteran from Atlanta was asked to name down his own Mount Rushmore Of Trap Music meaning four renowned Rappers who are at the top when it comes to Trap Music. Tip first named himself
“Three figureheads in Trap music…Myself, Jeezy, and Gucci [ Mane }..you can’t remove or add anyone” said T.I. explaining that three spots are fixed for these originators of Trap. For the fourth spot, however, T.I. tells the hosts that he has collected data and input from fans and the result that came was none other than Future.
After the hosts express their surprise with the fourth spot name saying they didn’t expect that name from T.I. he said “I don’t disagree though, one you gotta have consistency. You had to have a certain level of substantial success…you have to have a certain aura of authenticity and you have to be creatively unique”
