After several responses being made to “The Ruler’s Back”, Joey Bada$$ releases a response of his own with “Sorry Not Sorry” once again flowing over some smooth production from Conductor.
After Kendrick Lamar, Joey appears to be throwing shots at J. Cole for backing out of the K. Dot beef. In the first verse, The BADMON raps: “Might Deletе Later, I know damn sure that Joey won’t.” As you might now, “Might Delete Later” is 2024 album by J. Cole where he had a Kendrick disstrack but later removed from the album.
Joey also references 2Pac and Biggie with the following lines: “Haunted by the ghost of Biggie and ‘Pac, I’m them combined / Spent many years minding mines, out of sight and out of mind, Now I’m front in line, all the signs saying this my time.”
