Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Fridayy has released his sophomore album, Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not, a double-disc project that showcases his versatility across genres like R&B, Afrobeats, and Kompa. The album features collaborations with artists such as Chris Brown, Kehlani, Wale, Meek Mill, Teni, Llona, and Joé Dwèt Filé.

The album is divided into two distinct parts: the first half offers upbeat, feel-good tracks, while the second half delves into more introspective themes, reflecting the highs and lows of Fridayy’s personal journey. In an interview, he expressed his desire for the project to “reach as many ears as possible,” emphasizing his ability to craft diverse songs ranging from uplifting anthems to heartfelt R&B ballads.

Tracks like “Saving My Love,” featuring Kehlani, highlight Fridayy’s R&B roots and romantic lyricism. He noted that collaborating with Kehlani brought a “swaggy approach” to the song, marking his first time featuring a female artist on a record. Other notable tracks include “Proud Of Me” with Meek Mill, which explores themes of personal growth and resilience, and “February ’23,” offering a reflective look into Fridayy’s experiences over the past year.

Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not is now available on all streaming platforms, offering listeners a comprehensive look into Fridayy’s multifaceted artistry.
