Zarius “Dody6” Cunningham, a Los Angeles rapper recently featured on Kendrick Lamar’s song “Hey Now” from the surprise album GNX, has shared that he is currently experiencing homelessness.
Despite his appearance on the high-profile track, Dody6’s personal circumstances remain challenging. In an Instagram livestream video, he said: “I just lost my house, I’m homeless n-gga.” When one of the fans asked him about a Kendrick Lamar song, he replied: “I lost my house. I’m homeless. That one f****** song with Kendrick ain’t change s***. The f*** did that change?!”
“Hey Now” is the fifth track on Lamar’s sixth studio album, released on November 22, 2024, under PGLang and Interscope Records. The song, produced by Sounwave, Jack Antonoff, and Mustard, includes a feature verse from Dody6, who had recently left prison prior to the collaboration.
