Young Thug has officially announced his upcoming album, UY SCUTI, set to release on May 25, 2025. The announcement was made via a billboard campaign, signaling the start of the album’s promotional rollout.
The title UY SCUTI references one of the largest known stars in the universe, a red supergiant significantly larger than our sun. This celestial theme aligns with Young Thug’s penchant for grand and unconventional artistic expressions.
Speculation about the album began when Young Thug was seen wearing a jersey emblazoned with “UY SCUTI” during an NBA game in late March. Shortly thereafter, he followed an Instagram account named @uyscutiiiiii, further fueling rumors. Adding to the anticipation, fellow rapper Future tweeted “UY SCUTI,” leading fans to speculate about a potential collaboration or sequel to their 2017 joint mixtape, Super Slimey.
Young Thug’s previous album, Business Is Business, released in June 2023, received critical acclaim, and expectations are high for this new project.
