A DMV link-up has resulted in a new track from Washington D.C. rep Wale and Virginia’s own Pusha T, as the pair collaborated on new song, “Damage Control.” The tune is featured on NBA All-Star Anthony Edwards’ new release, Culture Jam Presents: Legend In My Hood.
While Wale undoubtedly impresses with his rapid-fire flow and intricate bars, Pusha grabbed listeners’ ears thanks to lyrics that clearly reference longtime industry opps Birdman and Drake, lambasting the “What Did I Miss” artist over his Universal Music Group lawsuit centered on Kendrick Lamar diss track, “Not Like Us.”
”The realest Birdman, I just cock-a-doodle-doo / doorstep, doorstep, I get it right through / money talk, money talk, the wrist is light blue / Sugarhill sweet, sh*t is feeling type 2 / bruised egos, man, you ni**as might sue / New Jack Ninos telling on the crew,” Pusha T spit.
