Kendrick Lamar has made a young fan’s dream come true, following through on a promise to bring Detroit boy Romell Frazier Jr. and his family to Los Angeles for a special birthday visit.
Frazier, who was six years old at the time, was seriously injured in March after being attacked by two pit bulls belonging to his family. The devastating incident resulted in both of his arms being amputated.
During his recovery, Frazier told reporters that Kendrick Lamar was his favorite rapper and made a heartfelt request: he wanted the “HUMBLE.” artist to attend his birthday.
The message eventually reached Lamar. On July 31, the rapper called Frazier to wish him a happy seventh birthday and surprised him with an invitation to visit Los Angeles.
Now, that long-awaited trip has finally taken place. Frazier and his family recently traveled to Los Angeles to meet Lamar, with footage from the emotional visit beginning to circulate across social media.
The trip gave the young fan an opportunity to meet his favorite artist and experience a moment he had been hoping for since making his birthday wish.
