Jack Harlow stopped by to speak to the Rap Radar podcast about the new “Jackman” album. During the recent episode, Harlow shared that the recognition from his musical peers helped him overcome frustrations from his critics.
Louisville, Kentucky-born rapper also spoke about meeting Kendrick Lamar at the Met Gala. He recalled the encounter with Kendrick in the interview, revealing that the Compton rapper praised his album.
According to Harlow, that praise alone gave him enough recognition to make him feel validated. He went on to express his gratitude and satisfaction. Harlow even said that he didn’t feel the need to meet anyone else after receiving Kendrick’s approval.
“I ran into Kendrick at the Met. It was like few days that the album dropped. He was like ‘that s–t’s incredible’ and gave me enough props that I could just walked home, I did not need to meet anyone else. It was one of the best feelings on earth. Then I saw Tyler, The Creator and he said something similar. All the people I respect have been giving me that and it’s so gratifying.” – said Jack Harlow.
