Nigerian-American artist Burna Boy has dropped his new album I Told Them.. which is his seventh studio album and a follow-up to his highly-rated album Love, Damini.
Burna sat down with Rap Radar’s Elliot Wilson and B Dot to talk about the album, his journey, and much more. During the conversation, Burna Boy revealed one of the collaborators on the album Rap icon J. Cole gave him his flowers and compared him with the late legend Tupac.
“Somehow i stand up in the studio with J. Cole and a bunch of basketball players tall as hell..before any music we were talking about other stuff..life you know. I found myself going off ..and before we start he [ Cole ] just goes Bro, this n—a is Tupac!” said Burna Boy about Cole’s compliments who called him “Tupac reincarnated in Africa”.
Earlier this year J. Cole recruited Burna Boy on the Dreamville Festival held in his own hometown after that both collided on the track titled “Thanks”.
